More positivity
It's contagious... I was sitting in the car dealership waiting for my oil change and I noticed this sign.

Positude
Do you have a Positive Outlook on Life? My coworker and I were talking about a client and saying that he always has a positive attitude on life even though he goes through a lot. He is always looking forward and never looking back. We admire him very much for this reason. So since I cant talk half the time (and the other half of the time I cant write...lol.) I put the two words together Positive Attitude and came out with Positude. I was thinking it was a very appropriate name for me blog.

When You Fall Off a Horse You Get Right Back On
I think
the Body Fitness Challenge is going to give me a lot of material whether it’s
inspirational or pure embarrassment! So today's BFC was like an obstacle
course, there were about 10 different stations.
At one of
the stations was a TRX Suspension Trainer, and we were supposed to row
using our body weight as the resistance. I have used this equipment several
times with different trainers in the past, and I’ve always feared falling
flat on my back! Well, tonight that fear came true...
It
happened so fast! I was doing the exercise and the next thing I knew- I heard
a clank and I was on the
ground. Lying
there, I was thinking, Is this a dream?
Did this really happen?
The wind was knocked out of me, and then I started to cry out of
embarrassment. After realizing I was fine, and with the support of the
group, I got up and resumed the workout with a little less enthusiasm (I think
I was still in shock!).

Losing My Pants
Today was Day 2 of the Body Fitness Challenge (BFC)!
It is a competition at my gym where the person that loses the highest percentage of body fat wins. This is the second time I've done this, and I am loving it. I have great trainers, a great group and now a little bit of embarrassment...
We were doing tabatas. One of the intervals was jumping jacks, and so there I was jumping away for 20 secs and I lost my pants! They were around my ankles!
Mortified, I picked up my pants and continued to jump hoping nobody noticed.
Then the trainer looks at me and says "I cant even look at you"... I am not sure if it's because I lost my pants or because the sweat was dripping off of me... but the point of this whole post is don't get embarrassed just keeping on going! Don't worry about looking like a fool in Turbo Kick, or looking seriously uncoordinated in ZUMBA, or being the slowest person in a spin class- it's about having fun and reaching your goals, and that's all that matters!

Staying Positive
Ok, so here I go again…
This time, instead of writing my random thoughts, I am going to attempt a weight loss and fitness blog!
I have lost over a hundred pounds over the last year, and I want to share my thoughts and experiences with people who are looking for a little inspiration and motivation to achieve their goals, too. I have gone through the biggest life changes this year in so many ways and, thinking back, I am not sure how I did it all…but I did.
I have been told lately that I am super positive (even so positive it makes me sick), but there are so many negative things in this world that a little positivity goes a long way. Approaching life with a positive attitude lets you pass by life’s hiccups and unpleasantries in a more productive way. Adopting this attitude toward life can have many other beneficial effects on your health, such as an increased life span, resistance to illness, and strengthened coping skills, among other things to help deal with life’s ups and downs.
Throughout this blog I am sure you will hear all about my weight loss journey, but I want to end this post with a phrase that my yoga instructor says at the end of every class:
“Remember, as long as you are still breathing, there is more right with you than wrong.”
